Hi, We manufacture a range of sheet metal products. I have set up all of my Items and also my assemblies and their Bills of Materials. What's the best way for me to proceed now?
1/ Can I issue several assemblies on the same Work Order or must each assembly have its own Work Order? 2/ Which of the many reports will give me a list of the assemblies which have been started only. Not interested in completed ones or scheduled ones.(this for the final assembly production guys to tell them what to make) 3/ Is it possible to have a report just listing all the sub assemblies called out on works orders which are "Started". I don't want to see components of sub assemblies.(This for the sub-assembly production guys) 4/ Is there a report for doing a Stock Take? I would like to see, Item Id, Description, Location and Quantity In Stock of ALL items on the system. Even the ones with 0 units in stock. All help will be hugely appreciated. Terry |

Can't answer your questions, but I would suggest to make a copy your production company, rename it to something like sandbox-xx-xx-xxxx. xx-xx-xxxx is the date. Then you can play around without fear of messing sometime up. Also, when you do start using the production version, make daily backups.
